Question

Is the wedding adults only?

Answer

Yes. Guests need to be at least 18+. The events at this hotel will be taking place at the Secrets side of this resort which is adults only.

How early should I book my hotel?

Answer

We are working closely with a travel agent to secure a room block. This will lock in the best rates and provide easy booking through a website. Please click the link in the travel section under hotel to book your room in our room block.

Is everyone invited to the welcome dinner on Saturday night?

Answer

Yes. We would love for you all to join us the night before the wedding to welcome everyone to Puerto Vallarta! An international buffet will be served along with an open bar.

Is Dreams Bahia Mita Surf & Spa Resort the same resort as Secrets?

Answer

Yes, but there are some limitations with booking the Dreams side of this resort. Dreams and Secrets are both within the same property. Secrets is the adults only side of the hotel, and dreams is the family friendly side. If you book on the Dreams side, you are not allowed access to some of the restaurants/bars on the Secrets side.

Is it okay to book our stay at a nearby resort or Airbnb?

Answer

Yes, but please note if you choose to not stay at Secrets or Dreams Bahia Mita resort, they charge a day pass to enter the resort on the day of the wedding of $125. Entrance will be permitted 1 hour before event starts and departure 1 hour after event ends. External guests must leave ID at the concierge desk for registration. Another day pass would need to be purchased in order to join us for the welcome dinner the night before (Saturday) as well as the pool the following day (Monday).

What does all inclusive mean?

Answer

All inclusive means that all drinks (alcoholic and non-alcoholic) and food are included in your stay. The property has 13 restaurants and 12 bars throughout.

Where will all the events take place?

Answer

All of the events will take place at Secrets Bahia Mita Surf & Spa Resort in Riviera Nayarit, Mexico. There will be a 2hr rehearsal dinner (Saturday), symbolic ceremony, private cocktail hour, and private dinner reception (Sunday).

When choosing a room to book I saw there was a Preferred Club option. What does this mean?

Answer

If you book a room that has the name Preferred Club, you will have access to a preferred club lounge/bar and an exclusive rooftop infinity pool on the 8th floor. You will also have access to a different area for Check in/Check out.

Is there a dress code for the rehearsal dinner and wedding ceremony?

Answer

Semi-formal attire. Only the ceremony will be held on the sand. Remember that the weather will most likely still be warm at night. Lowest temperature at night is around 70 degrees.

What is the best way to travel from the airport to the hotel?

Answer

Our travel agent will be able to set up all transfers to and from the airport to the hotel.

What is the weather like in November in Puerto Vallarta?

Answer

November is a great time to visit PV! Temperature during the day is usually around 86 degrees and low of 70 degrees at night.

What other activities does the hotel offer?

Answer

The hotel offers a lot of activities. They have daily paddle board/kayak lessons, surfing, water aerobics, etc. They even offer nightly shows in their theater. The hotel also has its own waterpark with multiple water slides!

Do the restaurants have a dress code?

Answer

Yes. Some restaurants throughout the hotel require that men wear closed toed shoes and pants for dinner.

Can I watch my favorite sports teams while I'm at this hotel?

Answer

Yes! Secrets has a large Sports Bar that can play your NFL games, etc.

Do I need to exchange USD to MXN/Pesos?

Answer

No. Everywhere in Puerto Vallarta accepts USD. Although this hotel is all inclusive, it is always nice to bring some small bills (USD) if you wish to tip your bartenders/waitresses throughout your stay.
