Dawson and I met while we were attending Lincoln Tech University in Nashville, TN in 2021. The very first day we actually interacted, I had gone with my roommate to get nerf guns (because that is what college kids do...lol). When we got back to school Dawson was sitting in his truck. My roommate asked if he (because they were friends already) could take us to the near by park. Dawson, being the nice person he is, agreed. When we got to the park I jumped out of the truck grabbed the nerf gun and shot it at Dawson. That was the moment we knew it was love at first shot!

For our proposal Dawson, his parents, and sister took me to Greenville, South Carolina to remake some of their old family photos. We went to a beautiful waterfall at Falls Park and took some pictures. We had lunch in the city along with some milkshakes! What I didn’t know is that we were just wasting time for the gorgeous open air chapel called "Pretty Place" to be open to the public. This was the same place that my parents got married 23 years ago. I was told the reason we were going was so that his parents could see this beautiful chapel on top of the mountain. When we arrived, we walked down to the front of the chapel to take a picture and thats when Dawson proposed! But...that wasn’t it! Dawson had collaborated with my parents and they surprise me after I said yes!
