When Dave and Jenna First Met

This love story actually started back in the summer of 2014. While Jenna and her mom were taking an evening walk, they decided to stop at the Kantrowitz's house to meet their new dog. That’s not all they met. Dave was there spending the summer with his dad. They exchanged a few words and then said goodbye, but always remembered those few minutes together.

The First Date

Some years went by as they each were busy pursuing their career and enjoying their 20s when finally their parents decided it was time to set them up. On Saturday April 7th, Dave texted Jenna "Hey It's Dave Kantrowitz. I guess this is super awkward your parents gave my parents your number text lol how have you been?" She didn’t think it was awkward and they set up a date for the next day. On Sunday, they met for brunch and had an immediate connection. From that day on Dave and Jenna were inseparable.

I Love You

One week later Dave and Jenna were out in NYC, and after a few too many drinks Dave slipped out the three words “I love you”. Jenna couldn’t believe what she heard and thought it was just the Captain Morgan speaking. She laughed it off until one week later when she couldn’t keep it in any more. During a late night conversation Dave and Jenna both said "I love you."

The Move

By May, they had already gone out with their families, met many friends, booked trips, and discussed their futures together. They had decided to only keep Dave’s apartment in Greenwich until December when they planned for him to move into NYC with Jenna. (Keep in mind Dave told Jenna that he hated NYC on their first date!) In June, both Dave and Jenna finished their school year and got excited for the summer. In July, Jenna stayed in Greenwich since Dave had been in NYC every night since April. In August, Dave and Jenna decided that they couldn’t wait until December to officially live together. They packed up his apartment, Dave sold his precious car, and he moved in. The week after Dave moved in, Jenna went away with some friends on a long vacation. While she was away Dave realized he couldn’t spend another day away from Jenna and it was time to make it official.

The Proposal

September came and Dave began looking for Jenna’s dream ring. In the meantime he was making up story after story about how in the near future he was going to propose. She was going crazy! Then, on Jenna’s birthday (October 31), while Jenna was getting her nails done and hair blown out (like she did 3 times a week since Dave had mentioned proposing) Dave began to set up the perfect proposal. Dave arranged for the rooftop of their apartment decorated with candles in the shape of a heart, he had flowers, champagne, and a professional photographer. When Jenna returned home, Dave continued with a story he had been telling her for weeks, that they were going out to an extravagant dinner in a secret location. Dave suggested that they should have a quick drink on the roof before heading out for the night. As soon as Jenna walked out onto the roof she was speechless. She couldn’t believe what he had set up. Yes she thought it may happen that night, but not then and there. Jenna began to cry as Dave popped the question. However, the surprises didn’t stop there. After a quick photo session with the photographer, Dave told Jenna that they needed to leave because a car was waiting to take them to dinner. Little did she know that family and friends were waiting downstairs to celebrate. That was just the start of the celebration our love and we can’t wait to continue the celebration with you all on December 7, 2019!
