To know our love story, you have to dial back a couple years prior to us meeting. Ray and I became really good friends while traveling together all around the country on work assignments for the better part of two years. Needless to say, we learned quite a bit about each other’s lives, relatives, likes, dislikes, hobbies, you name it. Ray invited me to his home for a labor day BBQ in 2021. Once I arrived, I greeted Ray’s family and one particular woman said hello but I had no idea who she was. She introduced herself as “Jenna, Pam’s younger sister” which I replied “Pam doesn’t have a sister, she just has 4 brothers”. Jenna was perplexed and definitely let Ray have a piece of her mind! Jenna and Dalio briefly talked throughout that day, and in my opinion there was some flirting going on (even though Jenna still denies it). Now the love story really begins. Two months later, Ray invited me to Thanksgiving dinner, which I happily agreed to, especially knowing Jenna would be there. We definitely had some sparks going on that evening, so much so that the following day I messaged her through social media and asked for her number. Jenna emphasized she wasn’t opposed to getting to know me while also level setting that I needed to know she was “undateable”….. well folks whose wedding love story are you reading right now? Jenna and I have not had 1 day without communication since November 25, 2021. She even once ran up my phone bill from roaming fees while I was in Guam. Now that’s love. Jenna is truly the most influential, giving, kind hearted, beautiful and captivating person I have ever met. She is my soulmate, the love of my life and I am a better person every day I open my eyes because of her. In the course of three years, we went from a long distance relationship, to living near each other, to moving in together, to buying a house. We’ve been blessed with travels domestic and abroad. Whether it’s a Gondola in Venice or an Oahu sunset with a ginger old fashioned, we create memories wherever life takes us and look forward to many more for the rest of our lives together.
