Cody and I were both separately invited to a “shop party” at my cousin’s husband, Zack Fusco’s farm. Cody happened to be there and shook my hand and said “hi I’m Cody!” That was the conversation. The whole night we stared at each other. God placed us together on that night for a reason. A few weeks later, Cody got the courage to text me. He asked me to dinner for many weeks on end before I finally gave the man a chance. I like to say “the rest was history.” We instantly knew it was forever. We spent nights out in the water way on the gator watching the sunset. We spent every second we could together in the shop and our nights at the farm. We were so similar in so many ways and what we wanted. We prayed so so hard for each other. We just kept saying “the wait is over.” Our hearts have always been on fire for each other. The next thing we knew, we were hauling grain together a few months later and I became his little farm hand. Then Cody was then helping me move into my house in Bourneville and would travel a hour to my new town almost every night. A few months later he never left. Cody never “officially” moved in. He just brought a few Carhartt shirts and work jeans and never left. Typical farm boy and if your know Cody, he’s a simple man. We pray for our future, marriage, family, and can’t wait to grow old alongside each other. What a blessing to become Cody’s wife and for him to be my husband.
