Christian: I planned a trip to visit the Riess's with Andrew's help at their sick Airbnb in Washington to go snowboarding. Their backyard was absolutely breathtaking, and I wanted to propose there on night one. We had the tall ask of convincing Jen Jen to not only get ready on a random Monday for dinner but also trek down the hill to the backyard to "look at the lake before dinner" (She refused to get ready by the way). Thankfully, when we got down there, Jen Jen had said word for word "WOW what a great time to propose" and when she turned around, I was on one knee which we have a picture of!! (Shout out to Lianne & Andrew) Side Notes from Jen Jen: Check out the picture in our gallery! Christian was awful at the airport riddled with anxiety when his bag got flagged at security and they took everything out of it, ring included. Thankfully for him, I was more focused on where my first beer was coming from. Christian had accidentally sent me pictures of the ring months before when he tried to send to his mom. Christian wanted Jacqueline to take me to get my nails done but she procrastinated until the day of our flight and then forced me to go. I still had no idea
Jen Jen Version: The infamous wink boomerang of Christian at Webster Hall with Tori and Chris was really all I needed to make my move. Shoutout to Chris for bringing Christian to my pizzeria job where I was able to give him everything for free and slip my number. Shoutout to Tori for hosting our first date at high point circle <3 Christians Version: Chris told me a cute Santaniello girl was interested in me and was working at the local competition (Paesanos, I was die hard Toscos at the time) and wanted to introduce us. We went there on a Friday night to do some recon when I first met the counter girl Jen Jen in her pink Paesanos t shirt. I proceeded to take my free pizza and the piece of paper with her number that was stuck to my slice, and it was history ever since. See wink below
