Our love is like a perfectly cooked steak — rare, well-seasoned, and totally worth the wait. We met as coworkers at Texas Roadhouse in 2019. Jenna was working as a hostess, while Burk was a busser. From time to time, Jenna was scheduled to work the floor, making sure tables were getting cleaned to keep the day moving, essentially making sure Burk was doing his job. We talked over a headset most days. The conversations included 'Hey, table 221 needs to be cleaned. I need someone to come over, and Burk's simple response is 'No'. Between the back talk and dodging the peanuts Burk threw at Jenna, we found ourselves talking and laughing on the ramp. We began to look forward to the shifts together and messing with each other. This led to Burk getting Jenna's number and asking to go on our first date. Weeks turned into months, months turned into years. Four and a half years of Burk putting up with Jenna, he decided to pop the question. He got down on one knee at a beautiful overlook in Bedford, PA. Sunday morning, we go to the top of the mountain for some cute photos to where Jenna turns around to see Burk on his knee. So I've heard, Burk had the ring in his pocket the entire weekend, waiting for the right moment. Pulling it out occasionally when she wasn't looking. Two years of engagement have passed by, and now it's time to plan the day everyone has been waiting for. We are beyond excited to celebrate surrounded by family and friends. Our story started with honey butter and rolls at Texas Roadhouse, and on Oct. 10th, when we say 'I do' — the real adventure starts after the last line dance, when we clock in for the best shift of all; the rest of our lives together.
