Where It All Began Our love story began in 8th grade math class — proof that sometimes, love really does add up. Not even a strict seating chart could keep us apart. Benny would scribble “I love you the meast” in Jenna’s notebook (yes, meast — more than most, more than least), and our friendly flirting eventually became something more. When high school came, we went our separate ways, attending different schools but never truly letting go. Only seeing each other at youth group, life was pulling us in different directions but still somehow consistently running into each other. Eventually Benny and Jenna ended up playing for the same volleyball club, NWAS, and everything changed. We became best friends again — and then something even more. We officially started dating on October 11th, 2023, with a perfect first date that included OMSI, dinner, and a Laufey concert. Since then, we’ve filled our time with unforgettable adventures: exploring Portland, attending symphonies, enjoying lovely jazz nights in the jazz restaurants, strolling through our favorite spots, playing in volleyball tournaments, and even floating above it all in hot air balloons. Every moment bringing us closer. Our love has always been rooted in more than just the present — it's built on our dreams. Jenna is chasing law, Benny is chasing fire, and together we’re building a future full of ambition, adventure, and support. With Benny away on fire assignments through the summer and Jenna off at college, across distance, our lovely sacrifices have brought us closer and closer. On December 11th, 2024, Benny popped the question — and Jenna said yes to forever.
