Jenna and I have known each other for so long, that we both have a hard time remembering this story. We have narrowed it down to junior year of high school, in weights class. When I joined weights class, I didn't have any friends, but my attention was immediately drawn to the hottest girl I had ever seen, bench pressing twice as much weight as I could. Little did I know that the decision to start working out with her in high school would change our lives forever. That day in weights class sparked a 5 year friendship that will last for eternity. -Andrew
Senior year Andrew, another good friend, and I were basically inseparable. One day after messing around Saratoga Springs and being dumb teenagers, we decided to go watch James Bond at my parents house. We headed to the basement shoving each other on the way down. We sat down and started the movie when I turned to Andrew as he was obviously not paying attention to the movie. I then looked at him and said, " Andrew what would you do if I kissed you right now?" He looked at me with a "yeah right" look on his face. I then grabbed him by the arm and planted a fat one right on his lips. When I pulled away he had the biggest doe-eyed look on his face. He sat there silent for probably 20 minutes just bewildered. After that, things were a little different between us but we wouldn't act on it for years. I am so grateful that I kissed that handsome weirdo back in high school. -Jenna
Andrew, Madison and I decided to go up to Idaho for a weekend getaway in January, but little did I know that we would come back to Utah engaged. I drove the 3 of us up to Idaho and Andrew was shakin' like a leaf in the back seat. I didn't know he was going to propose but his nerves started to give him away. After going to the Lava hot pools we headed back to my Grandma and Grandpa's house to go to bed. We got back and Madison said Grandpa got the fire ready for some s'mores. I thought it was a little cold for s'mores, but I was down. As her and I walked outside I saw a pathway of snow lit up with candle lights and the love of my life standing at the end of the path. I immediately froze, not from the 5 degree weather mind you, but from the excitement that lay ahead of me. I walked down the snowy path that was littered with rose petals to meet my darlin' man. He then took a knee, expressed his love for me and our future together, and ask me to be his wife. I began crying and couldn't get out the word yes so I just nodded my head repeatedly. We then sat there embracing in the cold night air, not being able to wait for the rest of our lives together. I love Andrew so much and can't wait to spend eternity with my cowboy. - Jenna
Our senior year there was a day we decided to ditch class and head to the Saratoga Springs marina instead. The picture below are the docks we decided to jump off of into the cold and shallow Utah Lake. This is still one of our favorite memories together.
