How We Met

3-28-2014

Alex and I went to high school together. We knew of each other. I knew some of his friends and he knew some of mine but we didn't really talk at all. Fast forward to April 2014, I was out with friend and so was he. I noticed Alex and his friend Mike from across the bar. I decided that I was going to go over and say hi, as I hadn't seen Mike since high school. I didn't really know Alex at all so I introduced myself and we got to talking for a while, catching up on old times. I asked them if they wanted to come back to the party, I was going to. Mike said no but Alex said yes! I was really happy he didn't turn me down! Over the next month, Alex and I got to know each other. We went on dates. We started to introduce each other to our families. It was really easy. On May 4th 2014, Alex and I were out celebrating a friend's birthday, when we snuck away to talk. We were talking about how happy we were! He told me that he loved me, and I said it right back! Our relationship has been nothing but great memories, endless laughter and exploring! We have accomplished so much and have so much ahead of us! Now, were on to the next chapter of our lives!

The Proposal

12-25-2020

Well it happened Christmas morning, just the 2 of us and our dogs!! But before we get into that, we woke up to a mess after a crazy storm had hit us the night before and into the morning. We were trying to figure out the plan for fixing the "flipped upside down lean-to" and the "down tree acrossed our driveway". We kinda had a plan for it all but we decided to go inside enjoy a cup of coffee and open presents. We handed each other present after present until we were all done. Up next, the pups! We got out the presents from their stocking. They were loving all the toys. Alex had gotten them some tennis rings and wrapped them. As I was struggling to open the rings up, Alex looked at me and got down on one knee. He says "Since everyone's getting rings, you should have one too!" I was shocked. He asked "Will you marry me?" At this point, I was a mess, crying and all. And of course, I kinda forgot to say YES!! I finally said "YES!" through the tears. He slides the beautiful ring on my finger and the rest is history! He had champagne chilling in the fridge and flute glasses ready to go! We cheers to the next chapter!
