Wedding Party

Meet the best friends and family we couldn't imagine this big day without!

Jenna Meece

Bride

Jenna is a lover of books and the outdoors. She can often be found hiking local trails, working on her next craft project, or cuddled on the couch with a good book. Professionally, Jenna is completing an archaeology internship with the Chattahoochee National Recreation Area and learning about the history of Atlanta. Jenna is always down for another adventure, and can not wait for the grandest adventure of all, marrying her best friend, partner, and beloved (I love you Scott, and I can not wait to call you my husband).

Scott Elliott

Groom

As the classics go, the engineer is marrying the humanitarian. Scott always had a knack for numbers, coding, and analytics. Professionally, he works as a Software Engineer at Ciena. Off the clock, he enjoys playing games with friends, going on walks, and discovering new music. He is beyond excited to begin the next chapter with the love of his life, who is also his best friend, partner, and bride-to-be. (Jenna, I can't wait for us to be married, and I love you so so much)!

Katie Gregory

Maid of Honor

Katie has been the bride's friend since their freshman year of college, where they experienced being roommates and living together in a very small one bedroom dorm. Freshman year had its trials, but Katie was the shining example of God's love through all. While Katie transferred to UGA after her freshman year, distance never deterred the friendship. These two continued to call and visit at every chance they could, and the bride could not imagine a better friend as her maid of honor and a future family member (fun fact: Katie is the groom's cousin)!

Aidan Langston-Smith

Best Man

Aidan has been best friends with the groom since 7th-grade Spanish class. Their friendship continued to grow as the two went through middle and high school together. In high school, the two did marching band together and got into several shenanigans throughout the years. Even though they went to different colleges, the two remained close and continued to hang out and talk about their latest interests (classes or games). The groom is so thankful to have Aidan's friendship and to have him as his best man.

Madelyn Woodard

Bridesmaid

These two gals met when the bride started working for her campus's career and professional development center, where Madelyn trained her. One day, the bride talked about books, Madelyn talked back, and the two were inseparable since. From many dinner dates to living together in their first apartment, their friendship became the essence of a movie that portrays the love of female friendship. A true ride-or-die, Madelyn is deeply loved and appreciated by the bride and could not imagine a better BFF to be a part of the wedding day!

Jeff Powell

Groomsman

Jeff and the groom met their freshman year of college during a very intensive marching band camp due to Covid regulations at the time, keeping them outside in the August heat. Their college past continued to grow closer together when Jeff changed his major to Computer Science, the same as the groom's. Eventually, the pair became roommates for the last two years of school and survived several of their capstone courses together. Jeff was a great friend throughout college, sharing many nights of schoolwork, games, and/or D.P. Dough after games. The groom is thankful to have such a good friend at his wedding, even after going their separate ways post-grad.

Megan Williams

Bridesmaid

Oh sweet Megan, a woman who loves coffee and long walks. She became best friends with the bride when the two spent many summer nights walking miles around campus and talking about anything and everything. The bride could always count on Megan to show her the beauty of kindness in everyday life. The bride learned what a female friendship built on a foundation of support and love could bloom into. With Megan's infectious kindness and bright smiles, a bride could not ask for a better friend.

Ryan Elliott

Groomsman

Ryan is the brother of the groom and has known the groom the longest (since his parents brought home the groom's "baby brubber"). As children, the two grew up together sharing their love of trains, Legos, and Star Wars. They both continue to share interests, even as they grow up and begin to live separate lives, but still remain close together. The groom couldn't ask for a better brother and is excited to have Ryan at his wedding.

Nancy and DeWayne Meece

Mother and Father of the Bride

Nancy and DeWayne, or Mom and Dad to the bride, are the best parents the bride could ask for. During the bride's childhood, her parents modeled how important it was to work hard and always be kind to others. Oftentimes, Nancy can be found crafting on quilts or embroidery projects, often spending her Saturdays taking classes and learning new crafts. DeWayne can usually be found (if you yell loud enough) in the backyard, either blacksmithing, driving around heavy machinery, or working on the next project. Together, Nancy and DeWayne run Survivor's Farm, selling seasonal vegetables and local honey. Both of the bride's parents endlessly spoil the two residential golden retrievers, Honeybun and Cinnamon, showering them with love and endless snacks. Make sure to say hello to Nancy and DeWayne, and ask for pictures of the beloved fur-babies!

Susan and Greg Elliott

Mother and Father of the Groom

Susan and Greg are the Mother and Father of the groom, the amazing parents that he was blessed with. During his childhood, Susan and Greg consistently modeled Christ's teachings through the many adventures they had. Susan's days are marked by her time spent as a mother, oftentimes volunteering in her community with J.L. Mann's PTA or Loaves and Fishes. During her downtime, she enjoys reading and walking the family dogs, Max and Gromit (yes, after the Wallace and Gromit TV show). Greg works as an engineer and continues that attitude with projects around the house. When he has spare time, he enjoys catching up on his endless movie list or reading about the latest science news. Together, Susan and Greg love playing games with the groom and his two other siblings, Ashley and Ryan, and celebrating when everyone is under one roof together. Of course, they also love to spoil their four-legged children on endless walks, naps, and playtime in the backyard. Make sure to say hello to Susan and Greg and ask about their latest adventure.

Ashley Elliott

Flower Girl

Ashley is the sister to the groom and will be graduating high school in May as well as turning 18 two days before the wedding! The bride and groom love Ashley very much, and the bride could not ask for a better sister-in-law. Ashley is artistic and creative, her endless creations never cease to amaze us. Thank you Ashley for being our flower girl, we love you so much and thank you for being a part of this special day!
