Jenna, I need to tell you -- I love you. [smiles] I love you too, Ross. [embrace] Ok, put this helmet on, we gotta get outta this jungle before it gets dark! That was the first time.

We met and fell in love on a tropical island. Surreal. Had we stuck to our plans (“I’m only going to Asia for, like, six months, I swear!”), we would have missed each other. Somewhere between the motorbikes and waves, we connected. Our first date was strolling through a night market, full of foot massages, meat-on-a-stick, and knock-off Ray-Bans, before zipping over to a seaside park. Ross lost the keys, and an hour was spent on hands and knees, searching in the sand by the dim light of a Nokia burner phone. Perfect date? Jenna wasn’t immediately convinced. But hey, persistence pays off. We were, and still are, having an absolute blast together. After Thailand, we moved to Jenna’s roots -- Minnesota. For a year we reignited friendships and forged new ones through kickball tournaments, lake days, and the Minneapolis music and fermentation scenes. Still itching to travel, we moved to Arequipa, Peru, where we rented our first apartment together. Painted bright blue with a washing machine on the rooftop, we made friends and had BBQs with a backdrop of enormous volcanoes. Loving Peru but wanting to be closer to family, we moved back to the US, landing in the mountain town of South Lake Tahoe, CA. After 3.5 years, or 123 feet of snow, we bought a house and moved to Reno, our new home. We also found a new love -- a spirited rescue pup we named Pacha. Emphasis on “spirited,” but also a very loving young girl. We have met the most wonderful humans (that’s you guys) on this long, strange trip. We love travel, adventure, and new experiences together. In marriage, we want to do tons! But it really boils down to being supportive, being present, and inspiring joy. Most of all, we’ll be sure to keep having fun together -- it’s what we do best.
