Gavin and Jenna met in June 2020, when they helped Jenna’s brother and sister-in-law move to their new home in Winston-Salem, NC. Although Gavin kept bringing boxes and furniture into the room Jenna was in, she was busy watching Melanie and they didn’t make each other’s acquaintance until lunch. Their meeting, for which Marcia Geary claims credit due to a chair maneuver and one-year-old Melanie Geary claims credit due to being born, spurred a series of dates before Jenna went back home to New York later that week. Clearly the dates went well. Well enough for the pair to continue dating long-distance until May of 2021, when Gavin asked Jenna to marry him over a cup of coffee in Gloucester, MA. The following week, Jenna was offered a job in Winston-Salem and it was off-to-the-races.
