We met on the way home from a Texas-OU Weekend in Dallas. We were getting off the buses to stop for lunch at Freddy's in Waco. At lunch, I saw this cute southern boy in jeans, boots and a toothpick in his mouth out of the corner of my eye. We sat at lunch together and I found a FB friend request from him the second I sat back down on the bus. Finding it funny, I replied by sliding into his DM's. A few weeks later, Cody asked me to a cowboy's date event where our friendship took off. We stayed friends for 6 months and then Cody asked me on a date to a rodeo and the rest is history....
In February, we took a trip to watch Cody's brother play in his college basketbal league in NYC. Cody always loves to surprise me with extravagant things, so when he said he was taking me on a surprise I didn't expect anything. We pulled up to a horse drawn carriage and we rode it through central park. We were then let off and roamed around the park and started walking towards the Bow Bridge. When we got there as I was looking out at the frozen water, Cody got down on one knee. Once the shock settled, I said "Yes!". I then realized there was a guitarist playing our song. We then went to the Top of the Rockefeller, met his family for dinner at the Rainbow Room and finished the night with Aladdin the musical. We're so excited to celebrate this next chapter in our lives with you. See you in The Woodlands!
