During January of 2022 in an effort to be more social since the mask mandate at NC State had finally been lifted, Jenna attended her first Agronomy Club meeting and was thrown together with a random team to play Pictionary. : Laughs were had all around, especially when a guy on Jenna's team made fun of her for how she drew a tobacco leaf. Alan walked into the Agronomy club room one day and was asked by a strange girl (Jenna) if he had a twin. "I saw a guy who looked just like you in a different colored shirt outside 5 minutes ago, but he went the other direction!" Alan laughed as he realized the "twin" was just him before he took his sweatshirt off and entered Williams Hall through the back staircase. In the following months the two ran into each other over and over again, with a seemingly endless list of reasons that they needed to be in the Agronomy Club room. Finally, Alan asked Jenna out to lunch at the Brickyard so they could spend time one one-on-one together, and the rest is history! They officially started dating in April of 2022, and Jenna finally realized that the guy who had berated her about her drawings had been Alan all along!
