We were both freshmen at the University of North Dakota. It was the second day of college. Erin didn't know a soul so when Noah's friend, Caleb, suggested he and Erin eat with his "Bemidji friends", she quickly agreed. Little did she know, Erin would meet her future husband at the dining hall that morning. After breakfast, Noah and Erin spent the rest of the day exploring UND.
Time after time again, we realized the "freshman fling" was so much more. After many months of getting to know each other and being each other's best friend, Noah finally asked Erin to be his girlfriend. Having each other through the transition of moving out, college, and adulting made our relationship stronger. We spent our time playing games, cooking, traveling, hanging out with friends, being outdoors, and enjoying all the little moments.
We were on a vacation in Colorado with Erin's family and friends. Bless Noah's heart, he spent one week sharing a small hotel room with all three Jenkins sisters. On our way home from Colorado, Noah and Erin stopped in Medora, ND to camp for the weekend. On Saturday morning, we woke up in our little tent as the sun came up. Noah went out to grab something from the car. When he came back into the tent, Erin turned around to find him on one knee. To celebrate, we hiked in Theodore National Park, listened to live music, won big in pull tabs ($70 ;)), ate at the pitchfork fondue, watched the Medora musical, and concluded the day with some cribbage. It was one of our favorite days, yet!
