Things To Do

We encourage you to make a mini-vacation out of our wedding weekend. There is a lot to do in and around Chattanooga TN. It's more than the "Chattanooga Choo-Choo" and nicknamed "Scenic City" for a reason! Chattanooga also neighbors a few well-known TN cities, including Nashville, Knoxville, Gatlinburg, and Pigeon Forge, as well as Atlanta GA.

Morris Vineyard and Winery

346 Union Grove Rd NE, Charleston, TN 37310

Enjoy a complimentary wine tasting! This winery is about a 20-minute drive from both hotels and was recommended by hotel staff.

Basilica of Saints Peter & Paul

214 East 8th Street, Chattanooga, TN 37402

The Basilica is the parish that we belong to and everyone has truly welcomed us since we moved to TN. It is a beautiful basilica with rich history. Catholic Masses are at 9am ET (English) and 11:30am ET (Latin) on Sundays, but it is open to the public daily. It is about a 35-minute drive from both hotels.

Lookout Mountain Incline Railway

3917 Saint Elmo Avenue, Chattanooga, TN 37409

The incline takes you to the top of Lookout Mountain, which features some of the best panoramic views of the Tennessee Valley from its observation deck. After taking in the views, we recommend walking over to Point Park for even more incredible views. This attraction is about a 40-minute drive from both hotels.

Rock City Gardens

1400 Patten Road, Lookout Mountain, GA 30750

Located atop Lookout Mountain, just 6 miles from downtown Chattanooga, Rock City is a true marvel of nature featuring massive ancient rock formations, gardens with over 400 native plant species, and breathtaking "See 7 States" panoramic views. This attraction is about a 40-minute drive from both hotels.

Ruby Falls

1720 Scenic Highway, Chattanooga, TN 37409

Journey deep inside historic Lookout Mountain to see the tallest and deepest underground cave waterfall open to the public in the United States! Descend 260 feet by elevator to see ancient cave formations along the cavern trail to the thundering waterfall. Note that if you're tall like Jon, you will need to bend a lot. This attraction is about a 40-minute drive from both hotels.

Chattanooga Choo-Choo (Station Street)

92 Choo Choo Avenue, Chattanooga, TN 37408

The famous Chattanooga Choo-Choo! This is a cool area, where there are lots of options to eat & drink within walking distance, and easily enough, located on an open container street. For drinks, there are a few outside bars and even a bar in a train. For food, we recommend STIR and Nic & Norman's (owned by Norman Reedus who visits frequently!). These are all connected to the Chattanooga Choo-Choo Hotel. There is also a whiskey distillery and a brewery nearby. We recommend checking out the Speakeasy called Company at the Kinley Hotel as well. This area is about a 35-minute drive from both hotels.

Tennessee Aquarium

1 Broad Street, Chattanooga, TN 37402

Of course an aquarium is a must in Jen's eyes — “Fish are friends!”. It's about a 35-minute drive from both hotels.

The Chattanooga Zoo at Warner Park

301 North Holtzclaw Avenue, Chattanooga, TN 37404

The zoo is about a 35-minute drive from both hotels!

Cloudland Canyon State Park

122 Cloudland Canyon Park Road, Rising Fawn, GA 30738

Although not technically in TN, this was a key factor of what made us fall in love with Chattanooga - so much that we moved out of NY! Make sure to check out the trail with the waterfall. We'll be exploring more hiking areas as it gets warmer, so feel to reach out to us for more suggestions! This is about a 1-hour drive from both hotels.
