December 12th 2020 started off as a gloomy winter day in Chicago, but little did i know what Eyeri had up his sleeve that night. We originally had plans to go see the skyline that Saturday afternoon following the Christmas tree that night because it was supposed to snow and he knows how much i love a scenic background for a good picture. Instead, rain set in and there was no snow. Plans were cancelled and i sent him a text "I'm coming over in my pj's and we'll watch movies all night". A couple of hours passed, and i received a text message from him saying "Get ready were going to an igloo dinner in the city". I put on a face of make up, a cute outfit, and headed to his house. Day turned into night and we headed to our dinner reservation scheduled at 5:30. Once we parked, Eyeri tells me "Lets stop at the Christmas tree on the way to the restaurant", by this time it was 5:20. Me being the person i am, i was worried we were running late but i agreed. He posed for a picture, and then it was my turn. "It's 5:25" I said. He reassured me we could afford to lose another 10 minutes without losing our reservation. As we stared into admiration of the tree, he blurted out "I have a confession, there is no dinner reservation, i just wanted to come see the tree" I smiled. "Okay, that's fine with me" I said. Seconds turned into what felt like hours, as he turned to me and started proclaiming his love for me, i was shaking "Is he really going to do what i think he's going to do?" I thought to myself. Eyeri got on his knee and asked me to marry him. YESSSS!!!! I screamed. YESS A MILLION TIMES. With tears in the both of our eyes, he pointed to the right of him and there i seen a photographer and his parents. I was over the moon, I am marrying my best friend, the love of my life. We are so excited to start this journey together, and couldn't do it without the love and support of our families. We can't wait to see you all there!
