We met on 7 December 2018; he was a Geek Squad Agent who had come to work in my home and spent almost as much time with my cats as he did working on my electronic devices. We maintained a professional relationship while learning about one another while I teased him that he was only really coming to visit his 'girlfriend' Sunny (my cat) when we would linger after each appointment talking and laughing together. On 22 May 2020, we decided to pursue a platonic relationship where we spent fun times were on my deck discussing music, art, travel and other subjects while spending time with my kitties. Our friendship survived the stress of COVID-19 and we found ourselves growing closer with each moment spent together. Our first kiss was on 26 May 2021 when we finally admitted our mutual feelings for one another before going on a trip to Florida together that changed from what was originally a friendly trip to our first romantic getaway. Our romance which had been long in the germination blossomed into full flower and we moved in together on 17 October 2021. His child Andy (He/Them) moved in with us on 4 June 2022 and his older child Ellis (He/His) has left the nest but visits on the weekends and holidays.

On my 46th birthday, Edward proposed in North Myrtle Beach while the sun rose over the beach. Andy was there to witness the occasion and I happily said yes.
