What should I wear?
Answer
Garden party attire. If the weather has been rainy, the grass/grounds will be soggy. Please feel free to wear shoes that will make your experience comfortable. Heels will sink right through the grass if wet. Bring a change of clothes if you would like to go swimming in the lake either the evening of the 27th or the 28th.

Not really. At this stage in our lives we mostly have what we need. Please see our registry for our wish list. We really would like this day to be a celebration of our love and relationship.

What the heck is the 103rd OVI?
Answer
During the civil war, three counties in northern Ohio came together and fought for the 103rd Ohio Volunteer Infantry. After the war, the veterans of the 103rd got together for a reunion. Every year since (except 2020) the veterans and now their descendants meet for a week for what we call, "CAMPWEEK". In the early 1900s the group incorporated and bought land. Some of the cottages are over 115 years old. To attend the reunion, one must be a direct descendant of a veteran of the 103rd. Jenifer's grandparents met at the OVI. That makes her a double descendant having great grandfathers in Company F and Company K. (great to the fourth and sixth degree) Everything is done by volunteer here. There is an actual Civil War Museum on the grounds full of very rare artifacts! The property of the OVI sits on four acres of Lake Erie waterfront property. Weather permitting, we will have our celebration and dinner outside in a large, grassy area. The grounds are strictly private. Non-members are not allowed on the grounds during "CAMPWEEK". Non-members are not allowed on the grounds unless invited by a member otherwise. This year, Tom becomes an active member. We hope to live here someday.
