Maid of Honor
Met in St George's Grenada - from being foodies to black and white movies - this girl can read my mind. I believe it's called "Kindred Spirits." She's Diane and I'm Anne for those of you that've watched Anne of Green Gables. Somehow we've maintained our friendship between her being in Cali and me being in Chatt-town. She's a big softie at heart and has been my spiritual support. (Gentlemen, take note).
Matron of Honor
We've known each other since we were 6. I'd be downstairs in my family's apartment, she'd pick up the phone to let me know she was coming down which was really unnecessary as I could practically hear her stomping on the floors as she headed down one flight of stairs. We played a mean game of Monopoly and Uno - and our friendship survived even that. That alone can tell you our friendship is made of steel. Despite the time and distance - our friendship hasn't wavered. We simply just pick up where we left off - laughing our heads off.
Bridesmaid
We've been going out to eat and going for drives ever since I hit high school. One of favorite parts of going to Maryland was to hang out with her. I remember nights when I was visiting from college where we would buy bridal magazines and binge eat on hot cheetos, brownies, and halo mandarins. Lovely times. Being my older cousin/sister, she helped me believe in myself and pick myself up when I felt all broken, and has been my confidant for all things in life.
Bridesmaid
We first met in high school and became roomies. She's got a heart of gold and I know if I ever needed anything she'd be there in a heartbeat. Now a fellow Erlanger employee, she's kept me alive with candy, advice in her office, and even a corner of her office floor to sleep on when I want to get away from the wards.
Bridesmaid
She's been in my life as long as every other Herra I know. We have fun, keep it light hearted, and usually talk about everything under the sun. Knowing her, I'm pretty sure she played a major role in getting Bubba and I together. :P
Bridesmaid
Piglet and Pooh. We've had fun through high school and just growing up in general. We've seen a lot of stuff that could make anyone cynical in life but we've learned to smile through it and keep each others spirits up. And we pride ourselves in our stature. "The biggest and best things in life come in small packages." :P
Bridesmaid
Point Blank - wouldn't have survived in residency without this girl. There are days I'd go over and be too exhausted to talk so we'd just go to sleep. And somehow we've almost made it through. Thankfully we've also gotten paired through a lot of rotations - again we keep each other sane and I think our program director knows it. We've celebrated each victory and talked over/slept through the rest. :)
Groomsman
We met for the first time on his Senior trip to Mexico where I'm pretty sure he did not know that I was dating his sister. I remember him having his phone taken multiple times as a prank. It was a fun trip.
Groomsman
Met in Mexico where he made the decision to give his heart to God and now is at Laurelbrook with working with me in helping educate young people to serve God and have skills to be effective in the mission field or whereever they are in life. He has been a great help to me in getting things done.
Groomsman
Another co-worker at Laurelbrook. Always having a good time and bringing laughter into the picture.
Groomsman
Has been in my life since I was 2 years old. Have had many good times together through high school and even since. Enjoy our rides together and when we used to have our late night waffle house runs.
Groomsman
Has been a great cousin. Have had many great times running around the Black hills climbing mountains and causing trouble around the junkyard.
