we’re getting married!

Jen and Ian first met through the most trusted mutual friend any young lovestruck kid could have, the Hinge app. One super match and a few nervous messages later, the two began bonding over their mutual interests and quirks, namely the shared ownership of red Jeeps, complimentary musical tastes, and the fact that they were both recent Richmond transplants. Conversation quickly turned to a first coffee date, a dinner date the next night, and an impromptu drive to DC for an American Football concert the following week. They began dating shortly after, and even after Jen revealed that the red Jeep wasn't even hers and that she didn't even like American Football that much, they both found a perfect match in each other. The following years flew by, the couple now finding fresh experiences in their new hometown through friendships and new careers, their life together was in full swing. They were never alone in this new journey. Ian's boon companion Atticus was with them from the very beginning, and they eventually grew this little family with the adoption of Jen's cat Jasper and later Dino, who to this day has only been seen by three people. Everything culminated on November 11, 2023 when Ian proposed to Jen at the Virginia Museum of Fine Arts sculpture garden, the very spot they shared their first kiss years ago. Now, they take the fateful first step into the great unknown of Marriage, with full hearts and unbound excitement. We are honored and overjoyed to experience this day with you all on August 17, 2025 here in Richmond where everything began. The family and friends we shared this journey with, both old and new, have made our life together all the more worthwhile. It means the world to have you with us on this day.
