This “new” end of river street is centered around the JW Marriott hotel. There are a few different rooftop bars with beautiful skyline views, and a handful of bars and restaurants along the river boardwalk to explore. The hotel has a dinosaur museum open to the public. I suggest popping through the hotel if you’re walking along Riverstreet.

A Savannah southern food staple! A historic spot, and a great spot if you’re looking for a nicer sit down meal. If you want to check it off the bucket list we recommend making reservations far in advance!

This is one of our favorite sites in Historic Savannah. This square is one of the most well known. The famous bench scene from the movie Forrest Gump was filmed here. We were once lucky enough to stumble upon a Forrest Gump impersonator on one of our first trips here together (chocolate box and all).
