The night started off like most others when I am scheduled to work (for me at least). I reported to my assigned work area which happened to be the ER Holding Zone where patients await an admission bed upstairs. The first patient I went to see was a handsome young man who found his way in my presence due to severe dehydration. I also couldn't help but notice that at first glance, he closely resembled a very famous Comedian. After exchanging pleasantries, some small talk, and performing a quick physical assessment, my charting was interrupted by " have you ever been to Dave and Buster's?" Slightly caught off guard, I replied "No" and thought to myself, "I know this man is not getting ready to ask to take me to Dave and Buster's, here, and in front of this woman (who I initially thought was HIS woman)!" Well sure enough, that's exactly what he did, and the woman I noticed actually turned out to be his lovely Mother. Between his chivalrous approach, not wanting to reject him in front of his Mom, and maybe a teeny bit of flattery, we exchanged numbers, and I agreed to a date at Dave and Buster's, although I must admit, my intention was to remain "too busy" for "Baby Kevin Hart" (as he was dubbed for a while) for as long I could. Well little did I know, I would have to be busy for an entire lifetime for Mr. Snells aka " Baby Kevin Hart", to give up on making that date happen, and little did I also know that our date was only the beginning of what he had planned for us. See, while I moved along to take care of the rest of my patients, Roger was already letting his Mom know that his Nurse would one day be her Daughter-in-Law. We eventually made it on that date to Dave and Buster's ( I'm so glad we did), and the rest is History!
