It was midget wrestling night at Fred's in Tiger Land. Wesley's bother Zachary and I knew each other through a mutual friend and they invited me to go with them. Now normally I am the type to never go out unless it's a special occasion, but this night I thought why not. Wesley was in grad school at the time and stayed home to study, but volunteered to drop us off. On the car ride to the bar I sat in the front seat with Wesley. I notice a bracelet around his wrist that was awfully familiar, The ACTS Bracelet! This was the second I knew he was someone special. I prayed that God would send me someone who was strong in their faith and would love me unconditionally. My prayer was not left unanswered!
Wesley and I were meeting my parents in Nashville, Tennessee to celebrate his birthday and my mom's birthday. We had plans to meet my parents at a vineyard on the Friday, go to the LSU vs. Vanderbilt game, and spend the night on the town in Music City. I was already so excited for this trip because as most of you know, my parents lived in Ohio at the time and I didn't get to see them as much. Also, I have always wanted to visit Nashville. Friday morning Wesley and I met my parents at Arrington Vinyards. From the moment we arrived I was in awe of the beautiful scenery! As we began the tour and the delicious wine tasting, I couldn't stop thinking of how much fun we were having. In our tour group was a bachelorette party of girls from Lake Charles, Louisiana who were a lot of fun and knew how to keep things interesting, like making my mom do the "Birthday Splits"! Just when the tour was coming to an end, this is when it all went down! My parents offered to take a picture of Wesley and I, so as we prepared for the picture Wesley started to make his move...... and the rest is history!
