We both attended Roger Williams University in Bristol, Rhode Island. This is where we learned of each others existence through Mike's younger brother Jeffrey, who also attend Roger Williams University, and had a common set of friends with me. Often times, we were invited to Mike's parties as the "cool senior party." At this point, we barely noticed each other. It wasn't until about 5 years later that Michael and I connected in a different way. In June 2016, I was living the single life in Boston. Facebook let me know of some of my friends' birthdays. It just so happened to be June 2nd, Mike's birthday. Following in my mother's footsteps of wishing people Happy Birthday on their birthday's, I searched my phone for "Mike Bayliss" to see if I had his number and found the contact "Mike RWU". In hopes that it was truly Mike Bayliss' number, I sent a simple and nice "Hope all is well, Happy Birthday!" To my surprise, it was actually Mike's number in which he responded, "Who's this?" Long story short, we got to catch up which turned into texting regularly. A couple weeks later, I went home to Connecticut for Father's Day in which Mike suggested we meet for drink by their Candlewood Lake House. The rest is history. Every weekend from then on and about 30k worth of miles on my car, I drove from Boston to Candlewood/NY to see him. About a year later, I traded my Boston life to be with him full time - the best decision ever. June 2018 - Michael and I celebrated two years together at the restaurant where we had our first date.
