Flight
Passport: Must be valid 6+ months. U.S. citizens don’t need a visa—just an entry stamp (usually 90 days). Arrival steps: Follow signs to Migración/Immigration, present your passport, and provide your lodging address. Collect luggage at baggage claim. Fill out the customs declaration form (Declaración de Aduanas). One form per family; you’ll list basic traveler info and your lodging address. Forms are handed out on the plane or available before customs. Proceed to Customs (Aduanas): Hand in your form and place all bags through the X-ray. Officials may do a quick additional check if selected. Timing: Expect 40–90 minutes from landing to curbside, depending on lines. Transportation: Uber: Available; request pickup once outside in the public arrivals area. Authorized taxis: At the official stand inside the terminal; confirm fare before departure. Pre-arranged shuttle: If you would like us to arrange a shuttle for you, please contact the bridge or groom with your flight information. Your driver will wait outside with a sign. To Antigua: ~1–1.5 hours (longer in traffic) Money: ATMs inside the terminal give the best rate if you want Guatemalan quetzales (GTQ). Carry small bills (Q5–Q20) for tips. Safety tips: Keep belongings close, ignore unsolicited drivers/porters, and only use your arranged driver or official services. Other notes: Drink bottled/filtered water. Evenings can be cool at altitude (~5,000 ft). We’ll provide your shuttle details, driver contact, and hotel/venue addresses separately—keep these handy for immigration forms and pickups.
