House Or Rental
Airbnb is quite affordable in Kuala Lumpur and great if traveling with family. We suggest staying around the KLCC, Pavilion Kuala Lumpur or The Exchange TRX areas.
Rental Car
We do not recommend booking a rental car unless you are comfortable driving on the left (wrong side) of the road. Otherwise, download Southeast Asia's largest ride share app, Grab (or inDrive) for transportation. You'll need to download and register for inDrive when you're in Asia. Public transit is available, use google maps for directions.
Travel Note
Lots of street shops and food hawker stalls are cash only! The exchange rates is $0.25 USD to RM1 (Malaysian Ringgit) so divide by 4 for easy math. Most food hawker stall meals cost ~$5 USD per dish
Travel Note
Most restaurants charge for napkins or some don't offer you any. Please bring or buy some at the local markets or grocery stores before dining at restaurants or food stalls. Some restrooms also don't offer toilet paper either but are equipped with bidets. Some restroom toilets are western style and some are squat style. Be prepared!
