Jenay and Joseph met on Joseph's first day working at Blue Zoo. Jenay thought Joseph was cute at first sight...until he showed to work on his first day in black joggers instead of black uniform pants. Although first impression, in Jenay's opinion, was of a "slacker", she decided to give him a chance :). On Joseph's second day of work, they were partnered together in the bird room (the worst room to work at Blue Zoo) and for the rest of that day at work, they proceeded to talk to each other as much as they could. And the rest was history!

Jenay and Joseph got engaged on the 2nd anniversary of when they first started dating. Joseph came by Jenay's house to pick her up for their date. Before they left, Jenay went to grab his anniversary present, and when she turned around, Joseph was down on one knee. She got so excited that she didn't even give him the chance to ask her to marry him and tackled him with hugs.
