Jenay and Garrett met in High School! Jenay was a sophomore and Garrett, alongside Jenay's sister, was a senior. This, of course, was not well received by Serena, so she and her friends told Garrett that he couldn't talk to Jenay anymore. But that didn't stop them! They remained close friends over the years even when Garrett shipped off to college in Hawaii and Jenay remained in LA, attending USC. During her junior year, Jenay even flew to Hawaii to spend Valentine's Day with Garrett! They made it through college thanks to Skype and unlimited data, and once Garrett returned home they were pretty much inseparable. Last year, Garrett was in Hawaii for work when he flew Jenay out to tag along for his final few days on the Island. They made plans with their friends to four-wheel drive down to their favorite locals-only beach, Maklawena.
