Even though we met as interns at Microsoft, our families intertwined half-a-decade before! Evan ran track with Jenay's younger sister, Riley, at Interlake High School and took her under his wing as a mentor & friend. In the end, Riley's track career outshined Evan's. As she prepared for the Junior Olympics, Evan's dad, Chris, continued to film Riley's races nearly three years after Evan's graduation to share with her family. Fast-forward to 2017, Evan & Jenay joined the same work program. Jenay's mom, Stacy, recognized Evan's name and encouraged her to say hi. At the Welcome BBQ, Jenay quickly located Evan and decided a simple 'hi' wouldn't cut it. A few years later -- thanks to optimal cubicle locations, Jenay's incessant need for help with Excel (Evan coaching one Brown after the next), and changes to relationship status -- we began dating. Since then, our adventures together have brought us to 8 countries, the top of 13 mountains, and the depths of 2 oceans. Mostly notably, it's taken us from the Emerald City of Seattle to AUZ for the last three years. We've been blessed to create these memories together, and we're excited to re-surface from the land down under to celebrate our union with all of you.
