Formal invites to come! Once you receive yours, please be sure to RSVP on our website by the specified date. We'll ask that you kindly let us know of any dietary restrictions when submitting your RSVP so we can accommodate everyone’s needs.
Both the ceremony and reception will be held at Whattapuddle Farms. We recommend using Maps/GPS to easily find the venue. Just type in "Whattapuddle Farms" and directions should pop up! The address is 2660 Waynesville Jamestown Rd, Xenia, OH 45385. The venue is located about an hour from Columbus in a secluded area, so it can be a bit tricky to spot. As you get close, keep an eye out for the Whattapuddle Farms sign to guide you to the right place. There will be plenty of parking available on site, so no worries there.
The average temperature in Xenia during this time of year is about 55-60 degrees, but we recommend checking on the weather as the big day approaches. The ceremony will be outdoors with no cover. If there is rain or strong wind, we’ll move the ceremony to a covered area to keep everyone comfortable. The reception will be partially covered, and we’ll have several heaters available if the weather calls for them. We want you to enjoy every moment, no matter what the forecast brings!
The dress code is festive attire - think the elegance of cocktail and semi-formal with a bit more personality. Play with bolder colors, prints, and statement accessories! With cool weather anticipated, consider thicker fabrics like velvet and a stylish jacket or wrap to add warmth. While we want you to be comfortable, we kindly ask that guests avoid wearing jeans or collarless shirts to maintain the formal atmosphere of the celebration. Bridesmaids will be wearing burnt orange.
The ceremony will begin promptly at 1:00 pm. In order to ensure a smooth and uninterrupted start, we ask that all guests be seated by this time. If you have not arrived and taken your seat by 1:00 pm, we won’t be able to accommodate you until the reception. To allow plenty of time for parking and seating, guests may arrive as early as 12:30 pm.
Our venue closes at sunset, which at this time in October is around 7:00 pm, so everything will be wrapping up by then. The venue requires the property to be vacated by 7:45 pm.
The question you're here for! We’ll be serving up an open bar with margaritas, beer, wine, and well drinks. This wedding will be a judgement free zone and we want everyone to have a blast. We've waited 8 years for this, so party accordingly!
During cocktail hour immediately following the ceremony, the bar will be fully stocked and we'll have a delicious buffet-style nacho bar! For dinner, instead of a traditional meal, we're excited to switch things up and bring in a taco truck from Barrio. You’re welcome to hit up the truck as many times as you want—seriously, eat as many tacos as you can handle, there is no limit! Enjoy the band, grab a drink, and when you're hungry, the truck will be there for you all night long! To keep things flowing smoothly and avoid long lines, we ask that guests avoid rushing to the truck all at once.
We ask that no children under the age of 16 attend the wedding. With an open bar and live band, we want our guests to be able to fully enjoy themselves without feeling like they need to filter for the kiddos.
Due to venue limitations, plus ones will be allowed by invitation only (that is, your invitation will indicate "and guest"). We appreciate your understanding!
The bride and groom request that the ceremony be completely unplugged. We want everyone to be fully present and engaged in the moment. Our amazing photographer will capture plenty of beautiful photos, so please keep your phones tucked away and silenced during the ceremony. If you’d like access to the professional photos afterward, feel free to reach out in the weeks following the wedding.
For both the ceremony and reception, sit wherever you’d like (just please note that the first row at the ceremony is reserved for the immediate family of the bride and groom). Please pick a seat, not a side! For the reception, there will be no assigned seating or seating chart, so relax and settle in wherever feels right. Don't feel tied to a seat—mingle, dance, and enjoy the celebration with us!
As we begin this new chapter together, we've decided to forgo a traditional registry and instead would be incredibly grateful for cash contributions to help us build our dream life. Your presence is the greatest gift, but if you'd like to contribute further, a monetary gift would be sincerely appreciated. If you feel so inclined, you can contribute via credit card, PayPal, or Venmo in the registry section of our website. Alternatively, a card box will be provided at the wedding for any well wishes.
