Question

When is the RSVP deadline?

Answer

Kindly RSVP on our website by September 25th. It’s important that we share a final guest count with our vendors by their deadlines.

Question

Where is the venue?

Answer

Both the ceremony and reception will be held at Whattapuddle Farms. We recommend using Maps/GPS to easily find the venue. Just type in "Whattapuddle Farms" and directions should pop up! The address is 2660 Waynesville Jamestown Rd, Xenia, OH 45385. The venue is located about an hour from Columbus in a secluded area, so it can be a bit tricky to spot. As you get close, keep an eye out for the Whattapuddle Farms sign to guide you to the right place. There will be plenty of parking available on site, so no worries there.

Question

What will the weather be like?

Answer

The average temperature in Xenia during this time of year is about 55-60 degrees, but we recommend checking on the weather as the big day approaches. The ceremony will be outdoors with no cover. If there is rain or strong wind, we’ll move the ceremony to a covered area to keep everyone comfortable. The reception will be partially covered, and we’ll have several heaters available if the weather calls for them. We want you to enjoy every moment, no matter what the forecast brings!

Question

What should I wear?

Answer

The dress code is festive attire. Play with bold colors, prints, and statement accessories! The key is to look fun, celebratory, and expressive. With cool weather anticipated, consider thicker fabrics like velvet and a stylish jacket or wrap to add warmth. Examples for women: Patterned or saturated colored dresses with unique features like ruffles, bows, sequins, etc. (mid and maxi lengths are appropriate); jumpsuits or dressy separates in lively styles. Examples for men: Suits in fun colors, bold prints, or unique textures; sweaters or dress shirts and a bold tie paired with slacks or nice chinos. (Suit/tie not required, but encouraged if you want to dress up!)

Question

What time should I arrive?

Answer

The ceremony will begin promptly at 1:00 pm. In order to ensure a smooth and uninterrupted start, we ask that all guests be seated by this time. If you have not arrived and taken your seat by 1:00 pm, we won’t be able to accommodate you until the reception. To allow plenty of time for parking and seating, guests may arrive as early as 12:30 pm.

Question

What time should I go home?

Answer

Our venue closes at sunset, which at this time in October is around 7:00 pm, so everything will be wrapping up by then. The venue requires the property to be vacated by 7:45 pm, but all are welcome to join us for an after-party! Details on the "Events" page!

Question

Will there be alcohol served?

Answer

The question you're here for! We’ll be serving up an open bar with margaritas, beer, wine, and well drinks. This wedding will be a judgement free zone and we want everyone to have a blast. We've waited 8 years for this, so party accordingly!

Question

What's on the menu & when will we eat?

Answer

After the ceremony, we’ll kick things off with a social hour where the bar will be open for drinks and appetizers will be served (including charcuterie and pepperoni bread). Once the wedding party makes their reception entrance and the special dances wrap up, dinner will feature fresh, wood-fired pizzas made on-site by Columbus Wood Fired Catering Co. (GF/DF/V options available)

Question

Can I bring my children?

Answer

We ask that no children under the age of 16 attend the wedding. With an open bar and live band, we want our guests to be able to fully enjoy themselves without feeling like they need to filter for the kiddos.

Question

Can I take photos during the ceremony?

Answer

The bride and groom request that the ceremony be completely unplugged. We want everyone to be fully present and engaged in the moment. Our amazing photographer will capture plenty of beautiful photos, so please keep your phones tucked away and silenced during the ceremony. If you’d like access to the professional photos afterward, feel free to reach out in the weeks following the wedding.

Question

Where should I sit?

Answer

For both the ceremony and reception, sit wherever you’d like (just please note that the first and second rows at the ceremony are reserved for the immediate family of the bride and groom). Please pick a seat, not a side! For the reception, there will be no assigned seating or seating chart, so relax and settle in wherever feels right. Don't feel tied to a seat—mingle, dance, and enjoy the celebration with us!

Question

Do you have a registry?

Answer

As we begin this new chapter together, we've decided to forgo a traditional registry and instead would be incredibly grateful for cash contributions to help us build our dream life. Your presence is the greatest gift, but if you'd like to contribute further, a monetary gift would be sincerely appreciated. If you feel so inclined, you can contribute via credit card, PayPal, or Venmo in the "registry" section of our website. Alternatively, a card box will be provided at the wedding for any well wishes.
