Welcome to Oakhurst and we're excited to have you at Ponderosa Ranch. The house is situated on a beautiful hillside amongst the trees with deer, turkey, quails, and the occasional black bear! Only 30 minutes from the south gate of Yosemite (1 hr to the valley) and 15 minutes to Bass Lake.

Yosemite National Park

There are a number of hikes available. The closest is Mariposa Grove featuring the 1,500yr old Grizzly Giant, 17 miles from the property. You can also enjoy hikes in Yosemite Valley, I recommend pulling over at inspiration point for photos and views, and parking near the chapel for an easy walk to Yosemite Lower Falls; or checking out Sentinel Dome & Taft point trail for breathtaking epic views; Glacier point is also a great option :) Check website linked for latest conditions/road closures. $30 entrance fee.

Bass Lake

Bass Lake is a 10min drive from the property and has boat rentals available, as well as Willow Creek trail - an easy beautiful hike following the creek into the lake. Trailhead address listed above!

Lewis Creek Trail South Trailhead

Cedar Valley Drive, Oakhurst, CA 93644

Another great local hike option, 10min drive from the property.
