We first met when Jen stopped by Russ' new house in Tyler to pick up her real estate sign (she is his property manager). Although neither one knew it at the time, they were both immediately interested in each other. Fast forward a couple of weeks, Russ needed some advice for an upcoming blind date so he asked the only person he knew in Tyler, Jen, for some ideas. Jen suggested country dancing but Russ said he didn't know how to dance very well but wanted to learn. Jen had been wanting a partner to dance with and she invited Russ to go to lessons with her; Russ gladly agreed. On a Thursday night, Jen in her cowgirl boots and Russ in his white cowboy hat met at the dance hall and they danced their way into each other's heart that night!
