We first met in 2011 (both as college students) and started dating in the summer of 2013. We dated long distance while Ramsey pursued his master's degree at Georgetown and Jen was working as an RN at Christiana Hospital. We were officially in the same city again in March of 2016 and the following year, moved to Jacksonville, Florida to start a new adventure. Although we both miss our families, we've loved having visitors and going home is even more special! Ramsey was quickly introduced to what it's like being in a large Armenian/Irish family, while Jen learned about the country life, farming and (of course) the magic of biscuits and gravy!
Ramsey kept the ring a secret for months - finally finding a sliver of time amongst their busy schedules for a long weekend vacation. Jen found it strange that they were going back to D.C. since they both found new destinations that needed to be explored. But the promise of a trip to the historic Omni Shoreham Hotel, the first place they said “I love you,” was enough to persuade her. Once settled in the room and preparing for an early anniversary dinner at their favorite restaurant, the plan unfolded. As Jen was in the bathroom primping, Ramsey readied the room. Flowers arranged and down on one knee Ramsey waited . . . and waited . . . and waited. He knew that she had no idea that their lives were about to change forever. After what seemed an eternity, Jen returned to the room and Ramsey asked for her hand in marriage. Her answer was, “Are you serious?! Yes!” They immidiately moved to tell everyone in their families the good news, “Jenny’s getting married!” We're so excited to celebrate this next chapter of our lives with you. See you in Philadelphia!
