Old Towne Orange
Iconic old town district in the city where Jen grew up. Complete with antique stores, hipster and classic eateries, artisan craft shops, and beautiful architecture. It's been featured in That Thing You Do and Parks and Rec! Some favorites include Jalapeno's Mexican Restaurant, Blue Frog Bakery, and Chapman Crafted Beer.
Santiago Oaks Regional Park
If you've visited the Gross family before, chances are they've taken you on a hike in this park. We like to take the Wilderness trail to Peralta Hills trail, then return on Oak trail. There's a good elevation gain but it's worth it. On a clear day, you can see all the way to Angel Stadium!
Disneyland
Take a trip to the happiest place on earth! Although we're not big Disneyland fans ourselves, we understand the allure, especially if you're traveling with children. If you don't want to splurge for the price of admission, you may like to check out Downtown Disney near by. It has restaurants, bars, and plenty of touristy things to keep your family occupied.
Beaches!
Laguna, Newport, and Huntington beaches are all within a comfortable driving distance. Stroll on the boardwalk, have lunch at Ruby's on the Balboa Pier, or rent kayaks and cruise through the Newport Bay Ecological Reserve.
