Travel from Lisbon to Different Parts of Portugal Lisbon to Sintra • By Train: The CP (Comboios de Portugal) trains depart from Lisbon’s Rossio Station to Sintra Station every 20-30 minutes. The journey takes approximately 40 minutes. • By Car: Driving from Lisbon to Sintra takes about 30-40 minutes via the A37 motorway. Parking can be limited in Sintra, especially near popular attractions. • By Bus: Scotturb buses operate routes between Lisbon and Sintra. Bus 403 runs from Cascais (stopping at Lisbon) to Sintra. Lisbon to Cascais • By Train: Take the CP train from Lisbon’s Cais do Sodré Station to Cascais Station. The journey is scenic, following the coastline, and takes about 40 minutes. • By Car: The drive from Lisbon to Cascais via the A5 motorway takes about 30-40 minutes. This route is straightforward and passes through picturesque countryside. • By Bus: Rede Expressos offers bus services between Lisbon and Évora. The journey takes about 1 hour and 45 minutes. Lisbon to Porto • By Train: High-speed Alfa Pendular trains or Intercidades (Intercity) trains depart from Lisbon’s Oriente Station or Santa Apolónia Station to Porto-Campanhã Station. The Alfa Pendular takes about 2 hours and 45 minutes, while the Intercidades takes around 3 hours and 15 minutes. • By Car: Driving from Lisbon to Porto takes about 3 hours via the A1 motorway. This is a toll road, and there are several service stations along the way. • By Bus: Rede Expressos operates bus services between Lisbon and Porto, with a travel time of around 3 hours and 30 minutes.
