Joshua and Jennifer were both directionless college grads in December 2019 when each of them had friends send them the link to apply to work for the Mike Bloomberg Presidential Campaign in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. Although it wasn't either of their top choices for a first full-time job after graduation, they both accepted positions as Field Organizers with the campaign. In January of 2020, Jennifer and Joshua had to make their way to a small, historic office in Old City, Philadelphia for their on-boarding. This office was full of folding chairs and tables haphazardly set up for this group of 30 strangers to learn about their new job. When Jennifer arrived, she spotted this young man in a full suit- way too overdressed for the occasion. Joshua saw this young woman in the front row raise her hand to participate in the training and thought she was way too eager for this entry-level campaigning job. After a long day of training, this eclectic group of Mike Bloomberg campaign organizers all joined at Yards Brewery to mingle. The two future soulmates were sitting on opposite sides of the bar, not having yet said a word to each other. By day two, Josh and Jen learned they were both on the same team in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, and will be working together in an office in East Liberty. After a rocky first impression when neither Jennifer nor Joshua knew if their new teammate would actually be enjoyable to work with, they parted ways and made a plan with their boss to meet up once they made it back to Western, PA. Jennifer and Joshua ended up working closely with each other for the rest of the month of January, with both of them making any excuse they could to spend extra time together. By February of 2020, Jennifer and Joshua had gone on their first official date. They spent the entire night sharing stories, laughing, and learning that they had a lot more in common than they initially thought. Josh looked Jen up on Facebook and saw she was in the marching band in high school, which made him even more excited to get to know her. (He did percussion in the marching band). They both also realized that they both went to Wildwood, New Jersey with their high school for Indoor Championships, and they shared fond memories of that time. Jennifer and Joshua ended up being so head-over-heels for each other, that in February of 2020, they went on dates every single night after work. Before they were official Boyfriend & Girlfriend, they even went on a date on Valentines Day, because they didn't want to sacrifice an evening without each other. As we all know, in March of 2020 the Coronavirus Pandemic shut down the world. Jennifer moved back with her parents in Malvern, Pennsylvania, and Joshua stayed with his parents in Elizabeth, Pennsylvania. Through pure love and perseverance, Jennifer and Joshua would travel 5 hours across the state to quarantine with each others' families and keep this beautiful new relationship blooming. Jennifer and Joshua will now be celebrating their 5th anniversary of dating in February 2025. They will become Husband & Wife on September 27th 2025.
