How we met

First comes shots, then comes marriage

Jenny and I have had a few encounters over the past decade but on September 29, 2018 things were a little different. It was our friend’s birthday and a few of my friends decided to celebrate at a local bar. I still vividly remember the night as if it were yesterday. Penn State football had an epic game and I had just survived a tax busy season and so I was pumped to just enjoy the night with friends. My night, however, took a turn when I saw a beautiful lady across the room. Even though we've had a few encounters in the past it didn't click to me it was Jenny. I nonchalantly asked a friend who she was, but I had no intentions of pursuing anything more. Unexpectedly my friend made it his mission to make sure we were introduced before the night ended. I was hesitant at first, but she and I were finally united by a Jameson shot. Being the gentleman I am, I grabbed us both some water to get rid of the disgusting taste. Our conversation was going quite well, but people were interrupting so much that Jenny walked away. Strike one. At this point I was kicking myself for letting that happen. But sometime later I saw Jenny's good friends hanging at the middle of bar with her. I noticed that there were other people trying to dance with Jenny, but it didn't bother me so much. Eventually, however, she made her way to me and so I thought here's my second chance. Slowly I noticed our friends stepping away. Everything was going great up until it wasn’t. In the middle of us dancing someone decided to randomly elbow my backside. I turned around to confront her, but what was meant to be a calm encounter turned into a big commotion. Of course, in the corner of my eye, I saw Jenny running away from the drama. Strike two. This was the last time I was able to hang out with her that night. Later the next day she for some reason decided to give me another chance and added me on Facebook. Slowly but surely I warmed her heart through messenger and the rest is history.
