Pike Place Market
Founded in 1907, the Market is one of the oldest and largest continuously operating public markets in the United States. It's our biggest tourist attraction for a reason! Watch them famously throw the fish, see where parts of Sleepless in Seattle were filmed, put gum on the famous gum wall, visit the over 100 shops, and get coffee at the flagship Starbucks store. Space Needle and the Seattle Center
The Space Needle was built in 1962 for the Seattle World's Fair as a nod to the space race of the time. Elvis even filmed a movie at the Space Needle in 1963, appropriately titled, "It Happened At the Worlds Fair". Check out their new glass floor! Stick around to enjoy the grounds of the Seattle Center surrounding it, including the International Fountain, Climate Pledge NHL hockey arena, MoPOP museum, and riding the Monorail. Costruito nel 1962 in occasione della Fiera Mondiale e in onore della corsa allo spazio, lo Space Needle e' quasi istantaneamente diventato un'icona della città di Seattle. Cornice della pellicola del 63 con Elvis protagonista "Bionde, rosse, brune...", lo Space Needle permette ai visitatori di godere della splendida panoramica della città con un nuovo pavimento vetrato! Il Seattle Center che circonda la torre include un meraviglioso giardino, la International Fountain, la Climate Pledge Hockey Arena, il Museo di Cultura POP (MoPOP), e lasede della Monorotaia.
Seattle Waterfront
Ride the Great (ferris) Wheel, take a ferry to one of several islands and ports in the Puget Sound, shop, dine, or visit the aquarium. Passate per un giro sulla Ruota Panoramica, prendere un traghetto per le numerose isole e destinazioni nel Pudget Sound, per fare shopping o visitare il Seattle Aquarium.
Seattle Art Museum
Seattle has a spectacular art museum with collections from all over the world and traveling exhibitions. The Hammering Man mechanized sculpture sits outside the SAM moving its hammer up and down. The only day this sculpture is turned off is on Labor Day each September. Il Seattle Art Museum, o SAM, e' sede di numerose e spettacolari collezioni artistiche provenienti da ogni parte del mondo. Facilmente riconoscibile dalla scultura meccanizzata posta al suo ingresso, l'Hammering Man (il quale cessa il suo lavoro solo una volta l'anno per il Labor Day), il SAM e' decisamente una meta da non perdere durante il vostro soggiorno.
Fremont Neighborhood
Visit the hip Fremont neighborhood for the fun shops, Gasworks Park (former coal plant turned park alongside Lake Union), and the Fremont Troll (a giant cement sculpture of a troll clutching a Volkswagen Beetle under the Aurora bridge).
