We attended the same college for two years, but never spoke a single word to each other. We knew who one another was just from playing lacrosse there, but Gianni ended up transferring after 2 years. Fast forward about 8 or so years and Covid hit. Jen was quarantining with her parents back in CT and Gianni with his in MA when one evening Gianni sent Jen a message on Instagram (or as the kids these days call it "sliding into her DMs). Jen's initial reaction was to roll her eyes and think "what does he want". She entertained the conversation at the start, well because let's be honest nothing else was happening during Covid, and come to find out it was the best decision she ever made.
