Dressy but cool. The ceremony will be outside. The chairs will be on the grass. Cocktail hour, dinner, and dancing will be inside, unless it is unseasonably cool, in which case the dance floor may be outside. We invite you to choose comfortable over formal.
Your presence is the most important gift! Monetary gifts are welcome, but not expected.
Immediately after the ceremony, guests will head inside for the cocktail hour, which will include drinks, passed hors d'oeuvres, a carving station, and a pasta bar. A server will take your dinner entree order - there will be a chicken, beef, and vegan option. There will be an open bar, but cash tips for the bartender are appreciated. If you have any special dietary concerns, feel free to reach out to Bryan or Jen, or email to jennifer.lynn.russ@gmail.com.
This is a kid-friendly wedding. We'll keep the ceremony short and provide some kid-friendly activities (toys, coloring books, games) during dinner, and we'll be inviting them on the dance floor, too. Feel free to bring whatever you need to keep your them happy, and please reach out with any questions or requests.
The Old Mill is a hotel with a large wedding venue - our ceremony and reception will be at The Grain House, the restaurant on location (a one-minute walk across the parking lot if you're staying at The Old Mill). If you're not staying at the hotel, you can park right at The Grain House. The ceremony will be outside (the gazebo and garden in the back) but the rest of the evening will be indoors.
Masks are optional, but we invite you to wear one if that makes you most comfortable - no need to explain!
