Much like the long walk Frodo and Samwise Gamgee took to Mt. Doom, this journey depends entirely on you! If you want to get into town early to enjoy LA, we totally understand. Unfortunately, the bride and groom will be busy with vendors so they dropped a few recommendations to keep early arrivals busy! Festivities won't start until Friday evening.
Whenever makes the most sense to you!
Absolutely! We're ecstatic to have our smallest family members present! However we are requesting they leave the "rehearsal" and the reception (between 8PM and 8:30PM) in order to give adults--especially their parents!--time to let loose.
Hobbitcore and anything you'd wear for a dinner at Rivendale is welcome...Pretty much just cocktail attire; we're not trying to be too fancy. Florals and earth tones are encouraged but not required.
Taupe, dusty rose, sage green, forest green, and rust are all in our color palate. We request avoiding off white and tan since the bride and the groomsmen will be sporting those colors. In other words, we love all things that grow: simple, earthy colors. When in doubt, ask yourself "WWBW" (What Would Bilbo Wear?) Suspenders, bowties, clogs, Rings of Power, and Sting will all be considered acceptable. *If you happen to align more with Legolas, keep it to greens and silver; those of the Gimli persuasion may wear dark gray and bronze as accent colors*
The Shire is open for frolicking and frivolity, however the bride recommends staying away from stiletto heels since the wedding and reception take place entirely on grass. Block heels will be best for this soiree.
The Wheelers will be having an open bar. However, there will be a tip jar for the hired bartender should you want to tip them for their excellent service.
10PM will be when the DJ plays the final song and things wrap up for the evening. Please be respectful while you wait for your ride home and make sure you have everything with you when you leave; our venue is not Númenor so they won't hold onto your keepsakes long after you're gone.
