For the history buff

The Winchester area and all of the Shenandoah Valley are steeped in history. Take time to visit some of the historical sites, battlefields and Civil War Museum (at the downtown walking mall). If you do the self-guided tour, be sure to stop at Star Fort, which is where our neighborhood is! (Come say Hi if we're home!)

For the Nature Lovers

If you have time, get to Shenandoah National Park, but there are many state parks, or other local hikes and vistas closer by.
