Tropical chic! Think casual, beachy and breezy but a little elevated. Men can opt for neutral colors paired with bright, tropical prints with boat shoes or loafers. Jacket not required. Women can wear maxi or short sun dresses with wedges or flat sandals.
Tropical cocktail attire. For ladies, there will be a few different types of terrain (grass, gravel, sand) at the venue so we recommend a block heel/sandal. For guys, a formal suit is not necessary unless that is your preference. Think light, airy fabrics and colors. A linen suit or sport coat with a dress or khaki pant is encouraged. Ties are optional. Have fun with it!
A valid passport! Please ensure your passport is valid for at least six months after your return travel date. Processing times for renewal have been longer than usual, so please be sure to check yours is up to date ASAP. There are currently no mandates to provide a negative COVID test result to enter Mexico or to return to the United States. We will keep this updated if anything changes.
Sayulita is a safe area with very little crime, but as with any tourist destination, take necessary precautions: use the safes provided at your accomodation and keep a general eye on your belongings.
Because there are no large resorts in Sayulita, we will not be providing any hotel room blocks. Please see our accomodation page for suggestions. As for transportation, there will be shuttles to/from the wedding ceremony & reception. All other events are in Sayulita proper and will not require transport.
Nope! Once in Sayulita, everything is very walkable. Not into walking? Rent a golf cart to drive around town instead, www.sayulitalife.com/golf-cart-rentals.
While most restaurants and vendors accept credit and debit cards, some do not, or prefer you pay in cash. Those who only accept cash will gladly take Pesos or US dollars - pesos preferred. We recommend getting pesos at your bank before the trip as you will get the best exchange rate. There are ATMs in town if needed. Visa or Master Card is more widely accepted than American Express.
No! Do not drink any kind of tap water in Mexico - it is best to stay safe and not do it even when brushing your teeth. Stick to bottled water or filtered - most accommodations will provide this for you or you can pick up water bottles in town or at the grocery store on the way in to Sayulita.
