When a grade school crush, turns into a lifelong love

We first met, as kids in grade school at St. Cecilia's Catholic School. As Johnny says, I was the first girl he ever had a crush on. Although, many many years ago.. I still vividly remember Johnny having this crush on me. However, young Jena paid no attention to young Johnny. Little did we know, that would end up changing drastically, almost 20 years later! One time, during class, I placed my charm bracelet into a piece of napkin. It had become dirty from some paint we were working with in class. It wasn't until later, that I had realized I had thrown the napkin into the trash by accident! As you'd imagine, I was crying and worried of what my parents would say when I told them. I had just received it as a birthday gift not long before this. Johnny, the determined and macho man that he is, went through our class trash cans, just to look for my bracelet... AND HE ENDED UP FINDING IT!! I'd love to tell you all, that in this exact moment, we fell in love.. BUT, we would go on through junior high, where we would graduate from the 8th grade, and begin our high school journey. Over the next 20 years, we would live very distant and separate lives. And it wouldn't be until 2009/2010 when Facebook made its way into our world, that we would become Facebook friends. Johnny would go on to date, end up in a relationship and have his little girl Mia. Ironically around the same time, I would also go on to date, end up in a relationship and have my little girl Jaymee. Only 6 months apart, during the year of 2015, is when we both would become parents to our baby girls. Now, over the years, we interacted via Facebook. Comments, likes etc. But never personally messaged one another or spoke privately. As most people did back then, and still do now. Fast forward. It's the end of 2021, and after "lightly" stalking Johnny's Facebook page (wink wink) I learned just how admired, respected and highly favored he is. I can see that he is an involved father, that he owns his own business, that he travels and most importantly... that he is now single! So duh, I slid in the DM's. My first time ever, and look where it got me! We talked everyday for a week, just catching up and reminiscing about times when we were kids. We decided to go on our first date on a Friday night. He took me to Hook N Reel, (because I love seafood) here he told me "get whatever you want." (This is the moment where I fell in love! lol JK) We talked, we ate, and immediately we decided to keep seeing each other. This led to a second date, and then a third and well.... you get the picture. After some time, Johnny and I decided to finally introduce one another to our girls. We became very close. We easily discovered that neither of us had ever been in a relationship like this before. The connection we shared, the comfortability and overall the respect for one another. Two days after my 34th birthday, on July 22, 2023, in Fredericksburg Texas at a beautiful vineyard, my honey asked me to spend forever with him! 2024, we are planning our wedding and in 2025, we hope that you all can help celebrate our special day with us!
