It all started in at a random pool party. The party itself wasn't a significant point in our journey as we didn’t formally meet each other that day, but we noticed each other, and that proved to be enough. A few weeks later, fate brought us together again at a popular Haitian restaurant in Stamford. I had just left the restroom and was heading back to my friends when we ran into each other—literally. She remembered me immediately, though I didn’t see her at first (she's a little on the shorter side), so it took me a second to recognize her. It didn’t help that the most beautiful girl in the room acknowledged me. She didn’t let me off easy, giving me a bit of attitude, which I quickly blamed on my “tunnel vision.” After a laugh, we chatted briefly before going in different directions. Later that same night, we crossed paths again and spent the rest of the evening talking and getting to know each other. We didn’t leave one another’s gaze the remainder of the night. The following day, we went on our first date, and we’ve been inseparable ever since. What started as a chance encounter quickly blossomed into something neither of us could have anticipated but both of us were ready for. Now, here we are, ready to take the next big step in our journey, surrounded by the people we love most. What began as a chance meeting has grown into a love story we’re proud to share with you all. La soirée en elle-même n’était pas un moment important de notre voyage car nous ne nous sommes pas rencontrés officiellement ce jour-là, mais nous nous sommes remarqués et cela s’est avéré suffisant. Quelques semaines plus tard, le destin nous a réunis à nouveau dans un restaurant haïtien populaire à Stamford. Je venais de sortir des toilettes et je retournais chez mes amis lorsque nous nous sommes croisés – littéralement. Elle s’est souvenue de moi immédiatement, même si je ne l’ai pas vue au début (elle est un peu petite), il m’a donc fallu une seconde pour la reconnaître. Le fait que la plus belle fille de la salle m’ait salué n’a pas aidé. Elle ne m’a pas laissé partir facilement, me faisant un peu d’attitude, que j’ai rapidement imputée à ma « vision en tunnel ». Après avoir ri, nous avons discuté brièvement avant de nous séparer. Plus tard dans la soirée, nous nous sommes à nouveau croisés et avons passé le reste de la soirée à discuter et à apprendre à nous connaître. Nous ne nous sommes pas quittés du regard pendant le reste de la soirée. Le lendemain, nous sommes allés à notre premier rendez-vous et depuis, nous sommes inséparables. Ce qui a commencé comme une rencontre fortuite s'est rapidement transformé en quelque chose qu'aucun de nous n'aurait pu anticiper, mais pour lequel nous étions tous les deux prêts. Maintenant, nous voici prêts à franchir la prochaine grande étape de notre voyage, entourés des personnes que nous aimons le plus. Ce qui a commencé comme une rencontre fortuite est devenu une histoire d'amour que nous sommes fiers de partager avec vous tous.
