Jenae’s Version~ Back in 2022 I decided to put myself back on the market, so I signed up for facebook dating. I really wasn’t expecting much because alot of the guys on there were just looking for a hit and run. When I came across Randy’s profile, I was instantly intrigued. I like the photos that he had in his profile because he actually took effort in his photos and some of his backgrounds looked familiar but I really couldn’t pinpoint exactly where. I swiped yes and he messaged me right away. I don’t recall exactly what he said in his first message but I do remember him making me laugh and I thought to myself this guy is something else. We chatted via messenger for a little while and then exchanged numbers and from exchanging numbers to talking to each other multiple times a day to FaceTime multiple times a day. Our conversations were lighthearted at times, but also In depth, I remember one of the questions he asked me was “What is my love language and I was taken aback because I’ve never been asked before that I really had to sit with that question before I could answer it.
Randy’s version~ I met Jenae about 2012 / 2013 when I lived with across from her aunt. Truthfully I didn’t physically meet her but I seen her from time to time when I chilled in front of the building with the guys. I guess I was a little intimidated at the time to say anything. Not scared it’s she always had her mean face on when I did see her so it kind of threw me off. Now let’s Fast forward to 2022 I started started dibble and dabbling with face book dating a little and I bump into Jenae profile instantly I got excited because she was someone that I always wanted to get know said to my self let me shoot my shot and see what happens . I don’t really remember how the conversation went
Have you ever heard of the saying, Anything that can go wrong will go wrong?, That was definitely our first date. Our first date took place on June 17, 2022, after about a month of Facetimg, and texting we decided to have our first date. We met up on 116th and Lenox and rode uptown to the bronx, (This was all Randy's idea) We rode the 2 to the 5 train and got off on the last stop of the 5 train and then did all this walking to the bowling alley. The walk was about a good 20 minutes from the train station, but I was in good spirits and being open minded. Once we got to the bowling alley that's where everything went wrong, We get to the bowling alley and it's a cash only location, but they didn't have an atm in the bowling alley. So we walk next door to the gas station but to no avail, there wasn't an atm in there either. So we walk down to the McDonald and guess what? their atm was out of order. At this point all we could do was laugh. We ended up going back to Harlem, but Randy felt so bad that he promised to make up to me. And he did the following day, we went to lunch and kept it simple, but this date will forever be etched in my mind as the funniest worse date ever.
I really liked Jenae I really wanted to make it work the first time but mentally I wasn’t there. I had a lot going on with my kids and court, and it was hard for me to find that balance and maintain a relationship so I parted ways. The beautiful thing is that she understood. On February 21, 2023 I was hospitalized for over a month due to my blood sugar spiking to over 1,00. While I was in the hospital Jenae reached outing checked on me. I always had a soft spot for her. Through out my hospital stay we constantly conversed through phone calls and text messages, and that’s when I started falling for her more. when I got out the hospital we still stayed in touch she took me on a date to the Edge NYC, It definitely was a dope experience.
