Save the Date

After meeting online, we had our first date at Culinary Dropout in the Domain. We connected over our dogs, work, and views of current events. We began spending more time together which included a bad sushi experience, many afternoons at the pool, and walks at our local parks. After dating for a year and a half, we moved in together in South Austin. In the following 3.5 years, we migrated around city and eventually to Georgetown.

Santi proposed to Jena on their trip to Big Bend National Park on March 1, 2025 at 1,100 feet above sea level, overlooking the beautiful Chisos Mountains. True to form, Santi had planned out the whole thing with the help of Jena's family and truly surprised her. Also true to form, Jena unknowingly almost botched the surprise several times before they hiked up the Lost Mines Trail. A surprise no one expected or planned was for them to run into friends from Austin halfway up the trail. Looking back, this is one of the signs they both believe was sent to them that this was the right time, place, and decision. Thank you to our families and friends who made it made so memorable.
