On October 13, 2018 Jena and Marty met for the first time when they were both assigned to work on the medic unit. For that 24 hour shift they laughed and enjoyed conversing in between their runs. Admittedly, they both looked forward to all their runs, so they could listen to music and have the most off the wall conversations that had them both cracking up. Even though it went well, they both agreed it was a terrible idea to date a coworker. However, Marty wanted to pursue it anyway. Jena was more hesitant and had to put Marty through the ringers a bit. After grilling Marty for a couple weeks on various questions to see if they were compatible, Jena agreed to invest in a relationship with Marty.
